Thanksgiving Cherry, Almond and Cinnamon Granola

Happy Thanksgiving! Here’s a light recipe, since you’ll be eating your body weight in food the rest of the day šŸ™‚


  • 360g old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 150g sweetened, dessicated coconut
  • 150g flaked almonds
  • 225g dried cherries, chopped
  • 120ml vegetable oil
  • 100g good honey
  • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon

Use imperial measurements


1) Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C, gas mark 4.

2) Toss the oats, coconut, almonds and cherries together in a large bowl. Pour in the vegetable oil and honey over the oat mixture. Add the cinnamon and stir with a wooden spoon until all the oats and nuts are coated with the liquids. Pour onto a sheet baking tray. Bake, stirring occasionally with a spatula, until the mixture turns a nice, even golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes.

3) Remove the granola from the oven and allow to cool, stirring occasionally. Store the cooled granola in an airtight container.
